Despite widespread use of end-of-semester course surveys, many community college instructors and staff recognize the limitations of this type of evaluation. Peter Ufland, recipient of The Cross Papers Fellowship for 2020, explores midterm student feedback as a preferred evaluative method. The monograph illustrates the differences between end-of-term and midterm evaluations in terms of their approach, philosophy, use, and foci, and presents models for gauging teaching and learning that focus on students? experiences.
